Jed Lowrie is 1 for 18 with 8 strikeouts so far this season. Some of those Ks have come in key situations with men on base, causing some to actually start asking when Julio Lugo is expected to return.

While I do think Lugo will help the Red Sox when he gets healthy, I think everyone should take a chill pill and remember this little factoid:

Dustin Pedroia hit .182 in April of 2007. Red Sox Nation started screaming for Alex Cora to get more playing time, but Terry Francona and the Sox stuck with the rookie... and he went on to hit .317 and win Rookie of the Year.

Bottomline: Jed ain't Pedey... but we're only 5 game in people. Give it time.
