That's right folks... it our Two Year Anniversary today.

For those of you that are new to The Bottom Line, we started this little experiment two years ago today on a Blogger site with a very long URL: www.thebottomlinenation.blogspot.com.

It think it's safe to say that www.bottomlinesox.com rolls off the tounge a little easier.

two bottom line.jpgTo be fair, the first version of The Bottom Line was a website on freewebs.com, but the blog format proved to much better for my daily ramblings and news updates.

Back in April of 2007 we kicked off the baseball season by kindly asking Curt Schilling to shut up and pitch! Schilling's new blog 38 Pitches had been getting lots of press, and it appeared that he had spent too much time blogging and not enough time preparing for Opening Day - The Royals spanked Curt and the Sox 7-1.

A rough start to the 2007 season and my blogging acreer, but things turned out okay.

Looking back at the old posts, it was funn to see that the format hasn't changed all that much in two years. There were game recaps like Matsuzaka's first MLB start - a seven inning, 10 strikeout performance on a 36-degree day ... Weekend Updates ... pictures of Kevin Youkilis' facial hair ... plenty of stats ... and of course the now-famous "Bottom Line" tag line.

It's been a fun ride over the past two years. We met a ton of great people along the way - too many to name here, but the blogroll to the right features many of our long-standing frienships.

Recently, we jumped from Blogger to MVN and the response has been amazing. I was hesitant to make the change at first, but Evan (MVN/FBAL) has been great and the readership has steadily increased.

Overall, The Bottom Line has grown leaps and bounds over the past two years and I thank everyone that has visited the blog, hyped the blog and linked the blog along the way.

The 2009 season is going to be a great one, packed with intense AL East matchups and a push for another World Series Championship... We'll be here every step of the way with news, analysis, humor and maybe even some Bottom Line merchandise in the next few weeks!

Thanks again for reading. I leave you all with one simple request:

Leave a comment when you come to the blog. Not everything I post will require much discussion, but talking Sox is what Bottom Liners to the bestest, and too many one-way conversations make me start to feel like I'm losing my marbles.

Peace.
