Heads we win... Tails we lose.
Heads
The Indians have never faced Brad Penny ... Mark DeRosa is the only guy with any experiecne against him (8 for 27 - .296 BA), but DeRosa is 2 for his last 25 and hitting .200 overall ... The Tribe ain't scoring - they've scored 12 total runs in their last six games ... Cleveland starter Anthony Reyes has walked 10 in 17 innings and given up four ding dongs in those three starts - the Red Sox are 7th in the league with 83 walks and 5th in homers with 25 ... Youkilis, Lowell and Ellsbury are all hot and Jason Bay (also hot) is 3 for 6 against Reyes in his career.
Tails
Brad Penny has also given up four long balls in his three starts... and he's walked eight ... The Indians also have 25 homers as a team (5th) and they're third in the majors with 87 walks ... In Penny's two wins he went six innings and limited the free passes - if he starts walking guys like Sizemore (4 SB), Cabrera (3) and Soo Choo (4), he could get in trouble with that slow deliverty of his ... Our offense was on a rool until Cliff Lee blanked us for eight innings last night - he cooled off Ellsbury (0 for 4) and he may have cooled off the Sox in general ... That said, The Large Father had two more hits last night and is seeing the ball well right now - Prediction: 3 for 4 with a homer tonight.
Bottom Line: You can't win 'em all... but I don't see this streak ending tonight.
