Jason Bay hit .294 with 15 ding dongs and 49 RBI through April and May...
Then he went on vacation to whatever island David Ortiz has been living on this season.
But after resting an ailing hamstring last week, Bay has bounced back with three homers in his last four games, the most exciting and important of which came directly after Youk was ejected last night, and is now hitting .353 in August.
Bottom Line: If Bay can duplicate his August & September stats from 2008 (.288, 9 HR, 37 RBI)... this "lack of offense" talk will be replaced with talks of playoff match-ups and contract extensions.
