Ken Rosenthal, FOX - Rosenthal discusses how Youk's versatility enables the Red Sox to look at both first basemen (Nick Johnson?) and third baseman (Adrain Beltre?).

ESPN - Although, this discussion my be irrelevant if Lowell's injuries prove to be too risky for the Rangers... ESPN has the latest.

The Sox tendered a contract to Casey Kotchman over the weekend, so they could also go with Youkilis at 3B and Kotch at 1B. We took a look at that scenario HERE.

Nick Cafardo, Boston Globe - If you're still hoping the Sox will make a trade for Adrian Gonzalez, Cafardo says Padres are asking for Buchholz, Casey Kelly or Ryan Westrmoreland and the Sox feel that is too high a price... for now.

Cafardo also discusses Mike Cameron as a fit in Boston now that Jason Bay says he's planning on moving on...

Alex Speier, Full Count - Speier has some thoughts on Boof and what the Sox gave up to sign him - Chris Province.

Over the Monster - Ben looks at a few RPs the Sox might want to add to the bullpen, including former Pirates closer Matt Capps.

Extra Bases - And Peter Abraham discusses signing former Yankee Chien-Ming Wang as the latest reclamation project...

Based on my past conversations with Wang, I believe the foot injury led to the shoulder injury. When Wang reported to spring training last season, the Yankees would not allow him to run as part of his conditioning. The strength in his legs, which helped him throw a 95-miles-per-hour sinker, vanished and the shoulder injury was the result of trying to compensate. Now that the shoulder is repaired, Wang is hopeful of returning to the majors by late May or early June. Shoulder injuries are tricky and this is the second time Wang has needed surgery. But if he can come back to even 80 percent of what he once was, he would be a helpful piece.
Lastly, Firebrand of the AL has some new talent on board... if you like Pitching FX and stats like WAR and UZR, you'll enjoy what the guys from Yawkey Way Academy bring the FBoAL.
