We've had a great response to this POLL so far, but as you can see on the right, it's been a tight race up 'til now.
We need more votes!
Earlier today we posted pitching coach John Farrell's thought's on Brad Penny, Clay Buchholz and Justin Masterson.
Bottom Line: Bucky is still very much in the running for the 5th spot in the rotation, but if Brad Penny isn't ready for his projected April 12th start, the Sox might consider keeping Masterson stretched out, rather than keep Buchholz on the major league roster.
Either way, Penny should be ready to pitch by mid-April and if Masterson fill in until then, the Sox will simply put him back in the bullpen. But of Buchholz earns an early start or two, they may have a tough decision to make when Penny is ready...
This story is still developing, but we only have two more days to vote of the POLL... so cast your vote now...
Who will earn more wins in 2009: Wakefield, Penny, Buchholz or Masterson?
