The 2010 schedule was realeased today and the big news is that the Sox will open the season at home... against the Yankees.

April 5th marks the first game of the year, followed by an off day and two more games on the 7th and 8th. Red Sox vs. Yankees is always exciting... but depending on how this postseason plays out, their could be some extra drama involved.

The Sox will hit to road after that and play the first ever game in the new Minnesota Twins outdoor stadium on April 12th.

Interleague play will linclude a 9-game home stand against Philly, Arizona and Los Angeles, followed by trips to Colorado and San Francisco. That early-season interleague series will be on May 21-23 in Philadelphia.

The dreaded West Coast trip will be from July 19th through the 28th, starting in Oaland, then Seattle then back to LA.

Correction - The Red Sox will finsih the 2010 with a 3-game series against the Yankees in October.
