I've been away from the blogsphere for a few days, but my last post was one of frustration and heartbreak.

Since then, the Red Sox grabbed three more wins, thanks to a walk-off dinger from Jed "Pedroia Who?" Lowrie and two impressive starts from Buchholz and (dare I say it!?) Lackey.

The problem is... the Rays and Yakees keep winning too! While the Sox are 5-2 on the home stand and 6-4 in their last 10, those pesy Rays have won three in a row and are 8-2 in their last 10. It's looking more and more likely that the Sox and Yankees may be the two teams fighting for a the AL wildcard sport - and with a 3-game series at Fenway set to close out the season... things could get very interesting.

But first, we gotta close out the Seattle series and play strong in Tampa this weekend.

Weather permitting, we get another look at Josh Beckett tonight... After two solid outings from Buchhy and Lackey, I really hope Beckett gets inspired.

Game Preview to follow.
