Dustin Pedroia, 2B

For the past three years Dustin Pedroia has one of the best second basemen in baseball. He may not hit 30 home runs like Chase Utley or swipe 50 bases like Brian Roberts, but he does just enough to fill every column on the stats sheet with solid numbers.
In 2008, Pedroia took his game to a new level, hitting .326 with 17 ding dongs, 118 runs scored, 83 RBI and 20 steals. He won the AL MVP award, earned a start in the All-Star game and won his first Gold Glove.
In 2009, Pedey came back to earth a bit, but still finished just a hair off of his 2008 line with a .296 BA, 15 homers, 115 runs scored, 72 RBI and another 20 steals. Pedroia won't give you any excuses, but like David Ortiz, Pedroia had to fight through some off the field issues last season, including a bumpy ride on the way to the birth of his first child and bad press thanks to the shenanigans of his brother.
So... with those distractions out of the way, can we expect another MVP performance from Pedroia in 2010? His spring training stats would suggest that he is locked and loaded for this coming season: 13 for 37 (.351), 1 HR, 5 2B, 7 runs and 8 RBI.
Personally, I think we're going to see some magic from Pedey in 2010, so here's my very aggresive prediction:
Bottom Line Projection: 640 AB, 16 HR, 52 2B, 81 RBI, 108 R, .312 BA, .850 OPS, 22 SB
